Voters in 10 states will decide this November whether to adopt constitutional amendments that could shape the future of abortion access in their states.

Not only will Missouri will hold an election on abortion rights, but it's one of just 11 states across the country looking at similar measures. The Associated Press estimates that over $108 million has been raised for campaigns seeking to approve amendments protecting abortion rights, while another $14 million has been raised by opponents.

Question 1, the abortion rights question on this fall's ballot, does not actually include the word “abortion,” a fact opponents have seized on to say the measure is flawed. Backers accuse desperate opponents of "just making stuff up.

Most of the initiatives in those ten states would allow abortion until foetal viability, which is generally considered about 24 weeks, or later only in instances when the health of the pregnant person is at risk.
