While Nadda stopped short of revealing the site of the proposed memorial, The Indian Express has learnt that a space near Kisan Ghat, which marks the cremation site of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, is among the locations being considered for Singh’s memorial.

The Congress has alleged that a series of protocol breaches took place during the funeral of former PM Manmohan Singh at Delhi's Nigambodh Ghat on December 28.

During Dr Manmohan Singh's funeral, the government made a rare exception to allow Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to lay wreaths. Despite not being on the original list, protocol officials deviated from the rules to include them.
