FBI agents who worked on the Jan. 6 probe are suing the government over plans to review the FBI workforce and agents who may have worked on the investigations.

The agents allege a survey regarding their role in any Capitol riot investigations is meant to identify targets to be fired "as a form of politically motivated retribution."

The FBI agents said in the lawsuit that any effort to review or discriminate agains employees involved in the Jan. 6 investigations would be “unlawful and retaliatory," and a violation of civil service protections.
