Walmart, already partially responsible for the slow demise of America’s drug stores, is launching yet another CVS killer: 30-minute prescription delivery.

Walmart said Tuesday that it will start delivering prescriptions to customers' doorsteps. The discounter will begin with six states, but plans to offer prescription delivery in 49 states by the end of January.

The new delivery offering is live in Arkansas, Missouri, New York, Nevada, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. Walmart said its pharmacy delivery is expected to be available in 49 states by the end of January 2025,
