Varun Chakravarthy has been included in India’s squad for the three-match ODI series against England that starts from 6 February. Varun was impressive in the India-England T20 series, picking 14 wickets from five matches.

India has won seven of the ten bilateral series at home, while England has managed just one win, with two series drawn.

Rumours of Chakravarthy being added to India's squad for the Champions Trophy were rife for a while but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, decided to leave him out of the marquee event. The Kolkata Knight Riders spinner wasn't picked for the ODI series against England too.
