Google’s January 2025 Android patches are out now for Pixel devices. Fixes include improvements to audio and camera stability, and issues with flashing lines and icon colors. These updates are separate form the Pixel 4a’s battery update, due to arrive tomorrow.

Samsung confirms the first Galaxy phones with Qi2 support will launch in 2025. Google is working with the Wireless Power Consortium to develop Qi v.2.2 with its own fast-charging technology. The WPC is also introducing a "Qi2 Ready" branding that enables phones and accessories to deliver the Qi2 experience when paired together.

The Wireless Power Consortium announced at CES on Monday that more Android devices will use the MagSafe-based Qi2 charging standard in 2025. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll all have magnets, though;
