During the New Jersey Devils ' Feb. 2 contest against the Buffalo Sabres, Stefan Noesen was given a match penalty and game misconduct for an illegal hit to the head on star forward Tage Thompson. Noesen's penalty occurred at the 5:11 mark of the third period.
