Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play game that naturally relies on microtransactions to produce the bulk of its revenue. There are no base game sales to pump up revenue, so the developers count on players purchasing in-game skins and cosmetics to meet their bottom line.

Season 0 featured an abbreviated battle pass, and developers have said the season 1 pass will feature "double the content and excitement," in the latest dev vision video. That includes 10 new costumes, presumably styled around the season's Eternal Night theme.

Marvel Rivals surprises fans by announcing the first skin for Mister Fantastic, which will debut with the release of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls.
