Wissa has scored 11 Premier League goals this season while West Ham are interested in Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi

Nottingham Forest have made an approach to sign Brentford forward Yoane Wissa. The Bees value Wissa at far beyond the £22m which was reportedly offered by Forest and will not accept bids in that price range despite their striker having just 18 months left to run on his current contract.

Brentford have rejected Nottingham Forest ’s opening bid for Yoane Wissa. Forest are understood to have offered around £20million for the forward, but the Bees will not entertain a sale this month. Wissa is a long-term target for Forest, who were interested in a deal last summer and are expected to be undeterred by Brentford’s stance.

Nottingham Forest have submitted a £22million bid to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford. Forest’s proposal is significantly below Brentford’s valuation of the forward, whose current contract runs through to 2026.

Wissa, who has 11 goals in 19 Premier League matches this season, is highly valued in west London and has proven a worthy successor to Ivan Toney. The Bees will not accept bids in the £22m price range Forest have reportedly offered, despite the 28-year-old having just 18 months to run on his current contract.
