GENEVA - A diamond-studded necklace thought to be involved in a scandal that led to the eventual downfall of the last queen of France, Marie Antoinette, is being sold in Geneva next week.
This 300-carat, Georgian-era showstopper hits the auction block at Sotheby’s Geneva on November 11. To be fair, the diamonds in this piece can’t definitively be traced back to that scandal.
