F1 drops fastest lap bonus point from 2025
Formula 1 is to drop the award of a bonus point for fastest lap from the 2025 season. The decision, made by the world motorsports council of governing body the FIA, comes in the wake of a controversy over RB’s Daniel Ricciardo taking the point away from title contender Lando Norris in the last race in Singapore.

Formula One will scrap from next season the bonus point awarded to the driver who sets the fastest lap in a grand prix, the governing FIA said on Thursday.
