Samsung has announced a new trade-in program for Galaxy devices that gives you access to trade in benefits without forcing you to buy a new phone.

The Korean company announced today that it will launch a new trade-in program that doesn’t require the purchase of a new handset. The “Galaxy Easy Compensation” scheme will pay Korean Galaxy phone owners money for their old device, with values fluctuating depending on the condition. Crucially, no purchase of a new phone is needed.

Whereas before you could only trade-in your smartphone when buying a new Galaxy phone, now you can trade-in your phone for cash. Samsung announced a new Galaxy Trade-In Program a few days before the big Galaxy S25 launch event, which is great news for loyal customers.

Samsung has now launched its Galaxy Easy Reward programme, where the company wants to buy its users’ old smartphones, Digital Trends reports. Unlike various trade-in programmes for mobile phones, Galaxy Easy Reward does not require the user to buy a new phone.
