CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A large gator got himself stuck in a storm drain and needed help from local firefighters to get out. A passerby in a Cape Coral community noticed the 10-foot reptile stuck in a storm drain and notified the fire department, according to a Facebook post.

Things got interesting in a Florida neighborhood over the weekend after a monstrous alligator became trapped in a storm drain, triggering a frightening rescue operation.

An alligator measuring over 10 feet long was pulled from a storm drain in South Florida on Saturday. According to the Cape Coral Fire Department, a person walking by noticed the gator stuck in the drain in the area of 2857 NW 27th Street in Cape Coral.
