Onetime presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is now vying for a spot in President-elect Donald Trump ’s Cabinet, said Wednesday the nutrition departments of the Food and Drug Administration “have to go” because the departments are “not doing their job, not protecting our kids.”

The White House is going red, and while Donald Trump is a familiar face at the White House, his administration could bring some new personalities to political society. The Republican politician's return is also likely to signal some departures from prominent figures elected and maintained under the Biden administration.

Kennedy claimed that Trump’s administration would work to remove the mineral from public water if the Republican candidate is elected.

"They're not protecting our kids," the independent said of the FDA during a Wednesday morning interview following Trump's win.
