In a rare move, Nintendo offers some official comments on the latest Switch 2 leaks, which emerged online in early January 2025.

Nintendo isn’t officially at CES, but it might have stolen the show anyway: accessories-maker Genki brought a 3D-printed mockup of what it says is Nintendo’s Switch successor, and we got to hold it and take some high-resolution pictures.

Nintendo has said that it will announce the Switch 2 before the end of Q1 (March 31), with rumors claiming that the company might make that announcement this month. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for an official reveal, so we can finally put all these leaks and rumors to rest.
