Leaders are calling for the province to take more action to protect British Columbians from the incoming trade war, from suspending PST on B.C.-made goods to reopening B.C. trade offices in foreign countries.

Numerous premiers are retaliating after the U.S. president imposed 25 per cent tariffs on most Canadian imports.

Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey has also called on his province to stop selling American alcohol and is encouraging citizens to use Canadian products. Quebec’s Finance Minister said in a statement via CBC that even though it may take some time to implement, his province will also ban American alcohol.
